75 - Ariel Hsing

The second success in the Olympic Hopefuls set (dedicated blog) comes from Ariel Hsing. Ariel is just 17 years old, looking at colleges and already has more accolades than I ever will.

The deal the young girl made with her parents was this: She could pursue table tennis all she wanted so long as she got straight A’s in school. If she got a B, then she would have to stop until the B became an A.  New York Times

With "Uncle" Bill Gates sitting in the stands, she nearly upset the eventual Gold Medal winner in their best of seven series. Story Here.
