Rose Garden Tablescape

Hello everyone.  I hope your week is going well.

Life these days means warmer and longer days and it is easy to feel overwhelmed by the summer's heat and humidity.  Thank goodness for the many windows in our home (all 47 of them) which let us enjoy the many flowers and colors in our garden from within.

Early morning or late afternoon are about the only times we stand to be in our garden.  Truth is, I am not a morning at all.   I am one of those people that needs a full eight ours of sleep to function..  The idea of waking up at 7:00 am on a Saturday truly scares me...

And so the tranquil afternoon is when I can become immersed in the ritual of tea and set out to celebrate the colors of the sky and the many pretty flowers in our garden.

Last week, I set up our tea table overlooking our delicate rose garden.  Perfect setting for a memorable repast.  I carefully snip off a few pretty blooms from my rose bush to admire their beauty and fragrance while enjoying a nice cup of tea with my neighbors.

Pressed linen table cloth, Martha Stewart china and vintage Limoges luncheon plates add a unique and romantic style to my table.

This delicate and beloved bust was a rare gift from my mother-in-law.

I love using vintage silver plate flatware on my table settings.  It always adds a certain nostalgia and elegance.  Most of my treasured pieces have been purchased from flea markets and thrift shops.  They are always great sources for finding these lovely treasures.

Ask anyone who knows my heart and they will tell you that this is exactly where I love to be.  Every inch of our beloved home and garden is planted in the deepest part of my soul.  I am thankful for all the blessings and goodness that surround me, reassured that dreams do come true.

Thank you for visiting me today.

Fondly,

Janet
