Hello everyone. I hope you are all enjoying this beautiful holiday weekend. It is almost impossible for me to think that it is September already. The temps here still feel like summer so I am not in any rush to transition into fall decor yet. I will enjoy every bit of sunshine and summer days while I can.
The other day while shopping at Costco, these gorgeous sunflowers caught my attention. To no surprise, they ended up coming home with me. And when I see such bright and rich colored blooms, I cannot help but imagine the enchanting landscape and picturesque villages of Provence. Sadly, I must admit that I have never had the pleasure of visiting this amazing place but my imagination takes me there all the time. Thought of its delightful cuisine, fresh herbs, warm climate, fields covered with lavender and sunflower live in my mind often.
My table begins with a gorgeous bright patterned striped and floral square cotton Jacquard tablecloth from Provence which I purchased with a set of 4 napkins at the Philadelphia flower show a couple of years ago when the shows theme was France. Side note: What a spectacular show it was that year. The best one so far in my opinion.
To add a bit of textures, I used wood chargers and topped with bright these yellow plates that have been in my collection for many years now. They were originally purchased from Home Goods. The pattern is called Petit Jardin by Culinary Arts
A lion head white soup bowl is placed on top of the dinner place which I used to serve a fruit salad. Finally I accented my place setting with decorative Ivory handle flatware from Sur La Table
Look at these gorgeous blooms. Can't think of any other palette that paints the bright and warm colors of the French countryside.
I hope you enjoyed the photos sweet friends. That is all for today. Have a fabulous rest of the weekend.
hugs,
Janet
